As you will be aware, the economy in the UK is in such poor shape that if we were in the Eurozone we probably would have already left it and at the same time brought on the collapse of the euro. And this would not be the first time the UK has left a currency peg - it happend in the mid-90's with the ERM. The UK might not be in as bad a shape as the Greek economy - which is abysmal and bankrupt and will be in the doldrums for many years yet - but is probably worse than the Italian economy as the UK's total debt is one of the highest on the entire planet!
How did we get in such bad shape, economically speaking? Well Labour are probably to blame, and in particular the Finance Minister that presided over the party for most of it days in power.
Anyway, government debt is one thing, consumer debt is another. And we're here to talk about and moan about and even try to find the best solution to ridding ourselves of these personal consumer debts.
